The developer/QA engineer is responsible for identifying, investigating and fixing software issues on all FoodTec products.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshot and re-produce bugs reported by customers
Ensure that new features are implemented according to requirements without any regression bugs
Write automated test cases
Suggest and implement fixes of the found bugs
Assist senior developers/QA engineers in finding solutions to complex problems

Skills:
Basic Java language knowledge
Capable of reading and writing in English
Analytical thinking to decompose problems in simpler tasks
Team-player
Willing to learn a lot of new technologies and practices

Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers via phone and email to schedule remote appointments
Provide remote assistance to people on-site – technicians and non-technical
Collaborate with the Installation Support team to improve current processes
Complete assigned casework under scheduled deadlines and time expectations
Ability to speak and explain technical details to customers as needed, both orally and in written communication

Skills:
Good understanding of Networking concepts (IP Address/Gateway, Router/Modem configuration)
Good knowledge of Hardware assembly and setup
Strong time management skills
Effective troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of networking infrastructure and equipment
Must be familiar with Windows OS
Good handling of the English language

The Junior sysadmin position has an impact in the overall smooth operation of all processes in the Foodtec office.

This role will expose the applicant to the following tasks and allow him to apply himself if he chooses, gaining invaluable experience:
Protecting the availability of services needed in the office like Internet access, vpn access to our private cloud and USA offices and voip phone access
Maintaining and upgrading our in-house and cloud based production and test servers
Maintaining and upgrading our office developer stations
Automating and streamlining processes like backup and developer build cycles
Assist the Support team in Customer installations and upgrades
Assist in development/bugfixing of our projects in related system areas

Skills:
Very good understanding of Windows and Linux based OS’s
Good understanding of PC hardware and peripherals
Good understanding of TCP/IP networking
Very good handling of command line tools
Very good unix shell scripting abilities (bash, Cygwin, etc)
Ability to do most tasks with remote access mentality and tools
Communication skills
Good handling of the English language

The ideal sysadmin candidate should have an OCD obsession of streamlining and automating any process that takes more than 10 mins to do, by creating a script for it!
Following procedures and policies should come as easy as breathing and she/he should take it as personal insult if a service is down or a resource is unavailable for more than 3 mins.
Group player that can do anything by her/himself, if need be.
